(Oatmeal is standard fair for breakfast and I put coconut oil in it. My big container of Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is pictured. )
Cut up pumpkin and fill crock pot as pictured. Add:
- Water
- Can of diced tomatoes
- 2 T. allspice
- 3/4 cup onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
Cook on high in crock pot for four hours. It passed the husband test.
Sounds great! Did your sweet heart love it?
ReplyDeleteSounds great. I got mom and I some coconut oil soft gels. Good for memory they say. But I heard on the early show very fattening. Nothing is perfect.
ReplyDeleteRuby,
ReplyDeleteBecause of the allspice, he thought there was meat in it! Yes, he likes it.
Karen,
There is also a diet book with a totally different take on coconut oil and dieting--"Eat Fat, Lose Fat." A man who works for Dr. Newport on that link has actually lost a lot of weight with this book/diet.
